08:00 AM depart with a boat from Roden Rust to Baganara Island Resort. Baganara is a rainforest resort located five miles from Bartica in the Essequibo River. This 187-acre private island effortlessly blends the comforts of a scenic retreat with all the fun of an elegant, full-service resort.
Thomas Island is one of the earlier names for the Island, historically linked to a British Lieutenant. In 1989, the Correia family acquired the Island and renamed it to its original name Baganara an indigenous word. By 1994 the famous Baganara Façade was taking shape, visitors would marvel at the transformation of a wild jungle to a serene paradise. In 1995, construction of an airstrip and a manager’s facility was underway. The facility and the island were used as the venue for numerous training seminars and management retreats. In 1996 the Island was transformed into an Island Resort Facility.
09:30 AM Arrival at the Island and be welcome with a cold refreshment and light snack after which you will be assigned to your rooms. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch before having an afternoon at leisure.
Later this afternoon board a boat for a trip to Parrot Island. Return to the island for dinner then relax before a bonfire on the beach after dinner depending on good weather. Overnight at Baganara Island Resort. (L, D)

07:30 AM: Enjoy breakfast before having a day at leisure. Relax by the pool, on the beach, or in the lounge area, then have lunch at the resort.
